Brava City Council Makes 30 Thousand Shields and Cups Available for the Inter-Zone Tournament
Brava, Cape Verde - September 30, 2023 - Brava City Council announced support for local sport, by making available, through the Nataly Football School, the amount of 30 thousand shields and cups for the long-awaited Inter-Zonas Tournament in the municipality.
This tournament, which aims to promote healthy competition and sporting spirit between the different areas of the island of Brava, is an annual event eagerly awaited by the local community. The City Council recognized the importance of sport as a means of fostering community cohesion, keeping young people active and creating an atmosphere of unity on the island.
The announcement was made by the Councilor for Youth and Sports, Mario Jorge, during an interview with Desporto Brava channel, held at the municipality's headquarters. On the occasion, he highlighted the relevance of this event for promoting sporting culture on the island and strengthening ties between the different areas.
"The Inter-Zonas Tournament is one of the most anticipated moments of the year on our island, and the City Council is committed to supporting and promoting local sport. With this financial contribution of 30 thousand escudos, we hope that the tournament will be a success and that all participants enjoy memorable moments of competition and camaraderie", said Mário Jorge.
In addition to the amount of money, the City Council also ordered personalized cups that will be delivered to the winners during the tournament. These cups will serve as symbols of recognition for the effort and skill of local athletes.
